The Scottish Veterans Association is a Voluntary group of former members of Her Majesty's Armed Services. We were set up because it was felt that there was a need to keep the deeds of of Service personnel and non service personnel alive in the minds of those for whom the gave their service.

To hold memorial services for those whose lives and there contribution to their Community and Country may have passed without notice.

People such as the Scottish Soldiers and Sailors who fought in the American Civil War.

We also have a page dedicated to linking our visitors to other websites that offer many and varied kinds of help to those former service personnel and their families.

There are also links to Regimental sites (if yours is not their please e-mail the address to me for inclusion).

Also links to British Forces Radio stations.

SO WHO ARE WE?

We the Scottish Veterans Association are a mixture of former service personnel (including Regulars and Reservists from ALL Branches of Her Majesty's Armed Forces, as well as Members of the Royal Fleet Auxiliary and the Merchant Navy) as well as their dependants and like minded civilians.

This site has been set up with the intent of bringing together all like minded former service personnel and civilians who seek to honour fallen commrades. Arrange memorial services for forgotten heroes. To keep alive the deeds of yester year "Lest We Forget". To look after graves, to restore, refurbish or replace headstones. To keep a record of memorials and other services attended by our members, even if not arranged by ourselves. To collect photographs from these events and to help create a library which can in turn be used by others who follow in our foot steps.

A place to share memories and photographs with others.

A means of advising others of forth coming events as well as suggesting future events

That you no longer serve with the colours does not matter.

What does matter is that you are all Service Veterans, friends or dependants, bound together in the service of their country until you die by a chain the links of which are invisible but which are as strong as steel; Constantly striving, in all that you do, to maintain the high traditions of loyalty and devotion to duty upon which the British Armed Forces were founded.

Deo Vindice
(God will vindicate)

Chaplain and Founder Member of the Scottish Veterans Association
